3 Truck Accident Causes Fatality

August 1st, 2008: Glenn Phillips

Washington State Troopers reported 51-year-old Reyes Gonzalez Junior died at the scene of a three truck accident on State Route 127. This happened around 1 p.m.

Troopers report Gonzalez was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram when he passed in a no passing zone striking a 1995 GMC semi tractor driven by 52-year-old Jerry Plunkett of Yakima. The two hit head on. Plunkett was taken to Garfield Hospital along with his passenger, 50-year-old Debra Plunkett. Then a third vehicle driven by 71-year-old Robert Carlton of Boise hit Plunkett’s vehicle.

Carlton and his passenger, 70-year-old Charlotte Carlton were taken to Garfield Hospital. Everyone involved in the accidentally reportedly had their seat belt on.
