Washington auto accident fatalities, Wrongful Death
March 15th, 2010: Law Blogger
At around 3:30 am Saturday a witness saw a Lexus being pursued by another car. They were both driving at high speed down Rainier Avenue South and driving erratically southbound. When they arrived at the 5500 block the Lexus crossed the center lane and collided with a Buick driving northbound.
The pursuer, seeing that the Lexus had just gotten into a car accident, sped away.
Seattle firefighters rescued one person from the Buick and pulled two people out of the wreckage of the Lexus. Medical units took all three to Harborview Medical Center.
The Lexus’ passenger died at the hospital.
The accident closed the 5500 block of Rainier Avenue South for several hours. The police investigating the incident have not revealed any more information. The investigation is ongoing.
The driver of the Buick was an unfortunate victim of what seems to be another unknown dispute that ended tragically. Though it has not been revealed if there were drugs or alcohol involved with this accident, when driving late at night, particularly on the weekends, please be extra careful of odd behavior and unexpected circumstances.
